L. A. M. P.
THE LEAGUE OF ALLIED MYSTICAL PERFORMERS
League (1) noun: An association of individuals for common action.
We are a new group of magical entertainers who get together to talk and perform magic on both the serious and amusing ends of the entertainment spectrum. We can be silly at times and very mystical at other times. We can be bizarre, confounding, entertaining and astounding. We are magicians of a different sort, desiring to elevate magic to the higher level of art form it deserves - one that exceeds all previous expectations.
Our group is also a “safe space” where you can try out new innovative ideas and create original concepts virtually every week - where members can offer constructive criticism & recommendations to help you perfect your effect, routine, character or act.
We are very informal. No dues. No business meetings.
All we ask is that you just promise to keep your entertainment magical!

We offer an occasional e-mail newsletter: "News from the Magick L.A.M.P."
For membership information, please contact club founder and "Grand Mystic" Joe Lantiere at Lantiere@aol.com
Background: The League of Allied Mystical Performers was first conceived and named in October 2003 by Joe Lantiere. The nine members met a few times at the Magic Circle Shop in Waterbury, but never really "got off the ground" and the shop closed shortly thereafter. The concept remained in limbo, until recently when it seemed that the Mystical Magic Company would provide a suitable environment for this new informal group. The purpose of this group is NOT to be in "competition" with other groups; instead, it is merely applying a concept to an existing group that already meets informally at the Mystical Magic Company.
